WUJAL WUJAL JUSTICE GROUP

NGANA MURUKU JUNKURRJIKU JANAY
WE STAND STRONG TOGETHER

The Wujal Wujal Justice Group is a forward thinking Indigenous NGO in Kuku Yalanji Country, Far North Queensland. Our staff help community members with all aspects of the Justice system. We provide court support for offenders and victims, offer counselling & mediation, make referrals and much more. We facilitate a range of Community based programs, such as the Restorative Justice and Domestic & Family Violence Counselling Programs.

These Programs provide offenders, victims and their families with opportunities to re-connect and heal relationships in a culturally appropriate way.

'Ngana Muruku Junkurrjiku Janay' (We stand strong together) is our motto

About Us

Behind the Scenes

Here at Wujal Wujal Justice Group we see the value in everyone. We strive to be a force for positive change, and since our beginning, we’ve been driven by the same core ideas: support for everyone, standing strong together to uphold Lore & Law and do what we can to help create a better world for our children.

Our Vision: Wujal Wujal Justice Group is a strong Community-based Indigenous organization, where Bama (Indigenous) and Waybala (non-Indigenous) enjoy working together to ensure all community members are supported and cared for, Elders are respected and Culture is strong. The Justice Group nurtures strong leaders that help create positive futures and opportunities for our young people.

On Country Activities

Reinforcing our Culture

Sharing culture is something that we take very seriously, and our team is working each and every day to make a positive impact. With these activities, our goal is to engage those participating in Cultural learning, spending time on Country with Elders and our staff and (re)connecting with their 'bubu' (homelands), their Elders,  With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. Sharing knowledge on Country camps helps people bring out the best in people.
